Your data never leaves your phone. CICO is built to be private by design. It has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything the app records — your work locations, your shifts, and your wage if you enter one — is stored only on your device.
Nothing is collected by us. CICO does not transmit any of your information off your device. We (the developer) never receive, see, or store your data. There is no CICO server.
If you turn on automatic clock-in, CICO uses your device's location to detect when you arrive at and leave the work zones you set. This happens entirely on your phone using Apple's location services. Your location is used only to notice these arrivals and departures — CICO does not track where else you go, does not build a location history, and never sends your location anywhere. You can use CICO without location by punching in and out manually.
Your logged shifts, work spots, hourly wage, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you use Apple's iCloud device backup, this data may be included in that backup — that is Apple's encrypted backup of your phone, not a CICO service, and we have no access to it.
If you enable the app lock, CICO uses Apple's on-device biometric authentication. CICO never sees your face or fingerprint data — only whether the device confirmed it was you.
Any notifications (punch confirmations, a weekly summary) are generated and scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.
If you buy CICO Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. CICO receives only Apple's confirmation of whether you have an active purchase. We never receive your payment details.
CICO is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data, it gathers nothing from anyone.
